The wait is over. Rihanna’s eighth album finally has a title—Anti. During a private gallery showing at MAMA gallery on Wednesday night, she showcased the cover artwork.
The cover is a childhood photo of the singer on her first day of daycare. It has been distorted and painted over in red and white by artist Roy Nachum, and features a poem that was written by Chloe Mitchell in brail. The back cover also features the same photo shot from the back.
“I fell in love with it because I felt like there was another spirit, another layer to the art,” Rihanna told the crowd. “This is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done.”
She also said that the album is done, but didn’t announce a release date.
