In full disclosure, this is my first time listening to Future Generations, but I can tell this is a solid discovery on my part since I’m already becoming such a fan. The relaxing vocals on this track are layered with a subtle electronic sound. The group’s low-key vibe will put you right at ease as you tap your foot along to the catchy but consistent rhythm.
The band actually describes the song’s mellow mood the best in the lyrics, “One time I'd like to kick my feet up / Sit down and let my mind just wander.”
At first I mistook the band’s easygoing style as a sign they were from the West Coast, but the groovy group is really from New York City. “Down and Out” is one of their latest singles following their 2018 album,Landscape.
