Jessie Reyez Announces Debut Album & Drops Feminist Anthem ‘No Sweat’

Grammy-nominated singer Jessie Reyez is entering 2020 without breaking a sweat. It's all in the title of her new single "No Sweat," which she officially released over the weekend after teasing it in a Secret deodorant commercial she shot earlier this month with Riverdale actress Camila Mendes and Olympic Gold Medalist Swin Cash.

The single is from her forthcoming debut album, Before Love Came to Kill Us, which she'll release March 27 via FMLY.

"Yeah, girls on the floor got a 30-point lead and a minute left," she starts off the dance-ready feminist banger. "Yeah, you workin' hard for the tough spot, just watch it manifest/ I'm a rose and a king at the same time; that's what a woman is."

Reyez tweeted the news Monday (Jan. 20), saying, "My album is done. It's called Before Love Came to Kill Us. It's coming on March 27th and you can pre-save it and pre-order it this Thursday."

The 28-year-old Canadian-Colombian singer is currently up for her first Grammy this weekend for best urban contemporary album for her 2018 EP Being Human in Public.
