Kevin Garrett's Billboard Live At-Home Concert: Watch

Kevin Garrett hosted a Billboard Live At-Home performance Thursday afternoon (April 9) to raise money for Meals on Wheels America, which delivers meals to senior citizens.

Garrett nourished his fans with some brooding tunes from his February EP Made Up Lost Time before traveling back in time to his "kind of fun" Billboard Hot 100 summit in 2016, when he co-penned and -produced a top 40 hit for the one-and-only Beyoncé, Lemonade's vulnerable opener "Pray You Catch Me."

He delivered the simultaneous gentleness and gusto of the track on his steel-string acoustic guitar, as fans prayed they'd catch the 29-year-old hitmaker announcing he'd release more of his own music.

"I'm working on a whole lot of new music," he said while tuning his guitar ahead of the tender Beyoncé cover. "I think I can say fairly confidently that I'm in a pretty good spot on the next album. I remember at Austin City Limits Festival, I did an interview with Billboard and I told them that I would make sure that they were the first ones to find out about it. So I guess this is kind of doing that."

But the party wasn't over for Garrett's fans who begged him to stay on Billboard's Live a little bit longer. So he finished the set with an acoustic rendition of Billie Eilish's "When the Party's Over."
