Lana Del Rey Apologizes to Fans After Canceling European Dates on Doctor’s Orders: ‘I Need to Get Well’

Lana Del Rey apologized to fans on Tuesday after canceling a string of European tour dates in support of her Norman F---ing Rockwell album.

"Sorry to let everyone down so last minute but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice," she said in a statement sent to Billboard. "Dr has advised 4 weeks off for the moment. I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well. Love Lana." For refunds, fans should contact their original point of purchase.

Among the affected dates that have been canceled are a Feb. 25 gig at the O2 in London, as well as a Feb. 26 show at Manchester Arena in Manchester, a Feb. 28 stop at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and a Feb. 20 show at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.

The singer was slated to kick off the eight date swing on Friday (Feb. 21) at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, before moving on to the AccordHotels Arena in Paris on Sunday (Feb. 23). The tour was scheduled to wrap up with a March 2 date at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin and a show the next night at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. Last month, Del Rey pushed back the release of her planned spoken word album, Violet.
