Last year, Brooklyn black metal staples Liturgy surprise-released their new album H.A.Q.Q. and also said they'd be releasing another album -- the soundtrack to their metal opera Origin of the Alimonies, which they've performed live -- at a later date. They've now given that album a release date (November 20 via band leader Hunter Hunt-Hendrix’s label YLYLCYN) and released the first song, "Lonely OIOION." Recorded with an 8-piece chamber ensemble, the new song puts an orchestral spin on Liturgy's sound, but it otherwise sounds like classic Liturgy. It's cool stuff, as you can hear for yourself below.
