With Strength a Woman serving as one the best R&B efforts 2017, Mary J. Blige is moving forward with the accomplishments and will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk Fame.
Variety reports, the legendary R&B superstar will have her honor unveiled on January 11, 2017, at 6201 Hollywood Blvd in front Eastown and will have Sean “Diddy” Combs along with the Hollywood Chamber president and CEO Leron Gubler.
A career spanning decades, Blige has been a fixture in music since 1989 and dubbed the Queen Hip-Hop Soul, all while collecting nine Grammy trophies to her storied career.
“Mary J. Blige is one the most popular singers our generation. Fans will be thrilled to see her star on the Boulevard as her career milestones are celebrated on this very famous sidewalk,” said Ana Martinez, producer the Walk Fame ceremonies.
The star on the walk fame may not be on the only accolade that MJB will be receiving in the next week as she is nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the critically-acclaimed film Mudbound. Golden Globes are traditionally a good indication to those who will be Oscar-nominated and who may possibly win at the biggest night in Hollywood. Congrats and to Mary J.
