Paul McCartney has shared news of a brand-new box set, The 7" Singles Box, featuring 80 singles from throughout his career, packaged in a wooden crate designed and built in Derbyshire, UK. The box is limited to 3000 copies, and comes out on December 2 (pre-order). Paul says, “I hope the songs in this box set bring back fun memories for you too. They do for me, and there will be more to come…”
Available now are two rare mono recordings from the box: "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" and "Too Many People," both from 1971. Also included in the box set are 15 singles never before released on 7"; an exclusive test pressing from the manufacturing process; a 148-page book featuring a foreword from Paul, essay by Rob Sheffield, recording notes, release dates, chart info, and more; and recreations of 65 singles using restored original artwork from 11 different countries.
