The Rolling Stones are reissuing 1973's Goat's Head Soup, their follow-up to Exile on Main St. It's out September 4 in a wide variety formats, but the centerpiece of all of them is a new stereo mix of the album. There are single disc vinyl/CD (and single cassette) editions, all the way up through a super deluxe editions, including a four-LP set and a three-CD/one HD-audio Blu-ray set that both contain rarities, alternate mixes, three previously unreleased tracks, -- "Scarlet" (which features Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page on guitar), "All The Rage" and "Criss Cross" -- and The Brussels Affair, which was recorded live at the Forest National Arena in October 1973.
The super deluxe editions also come with a 120-page book with rarely seen photos and three new essays: "50 Years On –An Appreciation of Goats Head Soup" by Ian McCann, "Brussels Affair Live 1973 Tour" by Nick Kent, and "The Story Of The Cover Art" by Darryl Easlea. Pre-orders are available now.
