The livestream will also honor Adam Schlesinger, who wrote the catchy title song. Schlesinger passed away on April 1st at the age of 52 after contracting coronavirus. He was an executive music producer for The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend during the show’s four year run, and also co-founded Fountains of Wayne in 1995 which released five studio albums during its lifetime.

Tom Hanks, who recently recovered from coronavirus after contracting it while filming a movie in Australia, wrote, directed, and co-starred in the film as the band’s manager. He also released it under his Playtone label. No word if Hanks will reunite, but actress Liv Tyler, who played Jimmy’s girlfriend in the film, will also jon the livestream. Organizers assure additional guests will also be announced.
